Making my living as an artist....
So this is a bit of a rant about what it means to make my living as a tattoo artist, if you are easliy offended PLEASE STOP READING NOW!
So lately there has been a very large amount of cancellations, frustration has set in... I offer the prices that I do because I do have a very high volume of clients, however the more people whom schedule appointments and do not cancel till the day of is forcing me to reevaluate my pricing. I understand that most people are paid a salary or an hourly rate however I only get paid if my clients show up. When an appointment cancels only moments before the scheduled time it becomes very hard to fill these spots. I am not really bitching I just want people to realize that this is my main source of income and when I offer these amazing tapout deals I am really cutting my self out. I understand that tattoos can be very expensive however artists charge these outrageous prices because they have to compensate for such situations as these. I understand things come up and shit happens, but unfortunately due to this happening so often I am going to be raising my prices. I apologize to those of you whom have been with me from the beginning and have not ever missed a single appointment, trust me these actions do not go unnoticed and you will not be penalized for this. However from this point on cancellations that happen with less then 24 hours notice will be charged a fee upon the rescheduling of the next appointment. Again if you have had to cancel due to an emergency i understand but don't schedule an appointment if you know you are not going to have the money in time and if such a situation arises the day before your appointment just send me a quick message, but please please don't just not show up... I wait for each and everyone of my appointments at least 30 minutes before trying to refill the spot... but it has been happening way too often. Again I hate to bitch but I am staring to feel the financial effect of this happening. Being a tattoo artist may seem "glamorous" and "like soo much fun" but when you have times where 4-5 people a week cancel only moments before their appointments it becomes very real. and not so much fun. Just because we get to make our own schedules and take time off when we want, we are people just like everyone else and we have to pay bills and feed our families. Thank you!

Wanna Win a FREE Tattoo?
All month long starting April 1st refer a friend and be entered to win a free tattoo session!
Ahhhhh.... new location, new focus... I am loving the new studio and I am so excited to show it off. i am gearing up for two great exhibitions in April. I am participating in the "Inspired Art" program this year, I have chosen a great poem by a 9 year old and I am creating a piece based on the work! it is a fantastic poem and a great experience.
What If?
What if the whole entire world was made of candy?
I would eat candy every day.
I would love to have a candy world to live in.
Everything was made of candy except people.
After a while I would want something better to eat and would hate candy world.
I would never want to see candy again in my life.
